She arrived as a volunteer from  Tunbridge, Vt, bringing with her not just skills and knowledge, but also a boundless energy and a deep compassion for the villagers. Roxanne worked tirelessly, teaching health and hygiene, educating children, and empowering women through income-generating projects. Her name became synonymous with hope and progress. Years later, her legacy lives on through Roxanne Junior School.

Named in her honor, this primary school stands as a testament to Roxanne's dedication to the community.
